Here is my training program from the last week. This is the end of my second week of just training each muscle group once a week. It is certainly aiding my recovery and I will continue this routine up to Christmas when I will take a short break.
Well week 8 is here. Wow hasn’t the last 8 weeks flown by.
Pleased with my results so far and feel really confident that I can do even better over the next 8 weeks.
Here is where I am up to:
Body Weight 116.8kg 122kg (Start)
Body Fat % 33.7% 38.3%
Waist 46.5″ 52″
Overall my training is going well. I have a slight shoulder injury in my left shoulder which is slowing me up a little. Otherwise I am generally getting stronger in most exercises, and definitely getting great cariovascular fitness.
My nutrition is still needing some work especially when it comes to the right carb intake for me. The last few days I think my calories and carbs have been a little low and so today I felt very weak at the gym. Apart from this things are going well and I am generally compliant at around 85%.

“The Incredible Shrinking Fat Cell”…
What Really Happens When Body Fat is Burned?
By Tom Venuto, NSCA-CPT, CSCS www.BurnTheFat.com
Earlier this week someone in our discussion forum wrote, “I haven’t “LOST” any fat… I know EXACTLY where it went! I got a chuckle out of that because I “got” the joke, but truth is, most people really don’t know how fat cells work, how the fat burning process takes place or where the fat goes when it’s burned. It’s actually quite a complex biochemical process, but I’ll explain it as simply as possible, so by the end of this article, you’ll be a “fat burning” expert!
I know I certainly was when I began my fat loss journey.
There is so much information out there on diets and nutrition for weight loss and fat loss, and the worse thing is it all seems to contradict each other.
Walk into any book store and you will find at least 100 books on the latest fad approaches to diets and dieting for weight loss and burning the fat. Most of the information in these books is questionable at best and totally confusing to the average person looking to reclaim his or her health.
Well I have decided to add to the Fat Burn Blog my weekly training progress reports. This way you will be able to see what type of training I am doing to build lean muscle whilst burning off the fat.
